1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing lucysosa.com and booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Site or services.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirement

By using this Site or booking any service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. Services requiring notarization additionally require all signers to meet the legal capacity and identification requirements under Maryland law.

3. Service Descriptions & Client Responsibilities

Lucy Sosa LLC provides professional multi-disciplinary services. Specific terms apply to each:

  • Interpretation: Clients requesting interpreting services are responsible for providing accurate details regarding the nature, location, and duration of the appointment in advance.

  • Translation: Quotes and timelines are estimates based on the provided scope of work. For certified translations, clients are responsible for confirming with the receiving institution (USCIS, court, school, employer, etc.) that a certified translation rather than a notarized or sworn translation meets their specific requirements prior to booking.

  • Notary and RON Services : We provide notarization strictly in accordance with Maryland state laws. We reserve the right to refuse notarization if identity cannot be verified, if the signer appears coerced, or if the documents are incomplete.

  • Immigration Form Preparation: Lucy Sosa LLC is NOT a law firm and does not employ attorneys licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. As a non-attorney immigration document preparer we do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal opinions of any kind. We do not tell clients what immigration benefits they may be eligible for, what forms to file, or what legal strategy to pursue. Our services are limited to translating client-provided information onto government forms and providing general procedural information that is publicly available from USCIS or other government agencies. We do not collect fees for services not yet performed, and all client-supplied documents will be returned upon request. Clients seeking legal advice regarding their immigration case, eligibility, or strategy should consult a licensed immigration attorney or an accredited representative recognized by the Department of Justice. NOTICE REQUIRED BY MARYLAND LAW: I am not an attorney licensed to practice law in Maryland, and may not provide legal forms, provide legal advice, or provide legal services.

  • Taxes, Bookkeeping, and Payroll Services: Clients are solely responsible for providing accurate and complete financial information. We are not liable for penalties, interest, or legal action resulting from omitted or false information provided by the client.

  • Financial Services (Life Insurance): Life insurance recommendations, quotes, and illustrations provided by Lucy Sosa LLC are based solely on the information disclosed by the client at the time of consultation. Final coverage, premiums, and policy issuance are determined exclusively by the underwriting insurance carrier and are not guaranteed by Lucy Sosa LLC. Approval, denial, or modification of coverage is at the sole discretion of the issuing insurer. Lucy Sosa LLC makes no representation or warranty regarding

    the approval or terms of any policy applied for.

4. Payments, Deposits, and Cancellations

  • Deposits: Certain services (including Interpreting and Wedding Officiant services) require a non-refundable deposit to secure the booking date and time.

  • Payments: Remaining balances are due upon completion of the service unless otherwise outlined in a specific client agreement.

  • Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of your deposit.

5. Limitation of Liability, Dispute Resolution, and Governing Law

  • Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lucy Sosa LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of our services or website.

  • Dispute Resolution: Prior to initiating any formal legal action, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms or our services through good-faith informal negotiation for a period of no less than 30 days. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue resolution through the Maryland courts of appropriate jurisdiction, or, for disputes under $5,000, through Maryland small claims court.

  • Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

6. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

7. Modifications to Terms

Lucy Sosa LLC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to lucysosa.com, and the "Effective Date" at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the Site or our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on lucysosa.com including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, templates, forms, videos, and the Lucy Sosa Professional Services brand name and design is the property of Lucy Sosa LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
